On Wednesday, August 27, the Romania Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka had the honor of welcoming high-ranking officials from the Republic of Moldova on a special day – Independence Day 🇲🇩. The Commissioner General of the Romania Pavilion, Ferdinand Nagy, received the delegation, which included Doina Nistor, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization of the Republic of Moldova, Dumitru Socolan, Commissioner General at Expo 2025 Osaka and Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Japan, along with other officials.
During the meeting, the Commissioner General of the Romania Pavilion extended his warmest wishes on the occasion of Independence Day and reaffirmed Romania’s support for the shared history and culture, as well as the European future of the Republic of Moldova.
Presented the concept of the Romania Pavilion – “Romania, Land of Tomorrow” – which highlights young people as the driving force of transformation, creativity, and a sustainable society, a concept warmly appreciated by the officials from the Republic of Moldova.
Minister Doina Nistor enjoyed the musical moments at the Romania Pavilion, which added a special touch to the visit, visited the interactive TRUCouture workshop where she admired contemporary IA created by Mihaela Ungureanu, and participated in a creative workshop alongside visitors.
On August 31, the Pavilion of the Republic of Moldova will celebrate its National Day at Expo 2025 Osaka alongside Romanian Language Day.
