On Thursday, August 28, 2025, the Romania Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka welcomed a delegation of business representatives from Romania and the Republic of Moldova. The delegation took part in a series of meetings and practical discussions, as part of Romania’s efforts to implement its international promotion agenda through the Pavilion during the World Expo.
Through initiatives like these, the Romanian exhibition space establishes itself as a dynamic platform for international dialogue and cooperation, facilitating the exchange of valuable information to develop and strengthen economic and trade relations between Romania and Japan. Key topics for Romanian business representatives – including customs procedures, legal regulations, and tax provisions specific to the Japanese market – were discussed directly with representatives of Japanese authorities and prominent figures in the local business community.
These discussions help address one of the major challenges faced by companies from both countries: limited access to up-to-date economic and commercial data, information, and analyses from authorized sources.
Romania’s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka represents an active form of cultural and economic diplomacy, through which our country reaffirms its commitment to excellent bilateral relations with Japan, while diversifying its impact on the Japanese market.
